Charged Motorways Network Extends with Newly Finished Construction Projects since 1 September

Prague, 31 August 2026 – Since 1 September 2026, the network of roads charging electronic toll will be extended with three newly built motorway sections in the total length of about 17.2 kilometres. The toll system will thus include new sections of D3, D35 and D49 motorways. Further new developments within the motorway network will be finished and will begin to be charged for in October and November.

Since 1 September, electronic toll will start to be collected for a new, 3.16 kilometres long section of the D3 motorway between Nažidla settlement and the frontier crossing at Dolní Dvořiště, for a 6.45 kilometres long section of the D35 motorway between Ostrov and Vysoké Mýto municipalities outside the Homole tunnel, and for a 7.60 kilometres long section of the D49 motorway between the towns of Holešov and Fryšták. All three are newly built motorway sections.

Due to the changed deadline for launching operation of the new construction project on the D6 motorway, the Ležky – Lubenec section, further changes are awaited since 1 October 2026. That is the date when the D6 motorway division into toll sections will be rearranged and a new toll section between Ležky and Lubenec villages will be introduced.

Since 1 November 2026, the charged motorway network will be extended by another 3.70 kilometres long new section of the D48 motorway between two multilevel crossings, one at Dub municipality and the other in the Palačov locality. In connection with operation launch of this new section, the current toll section of the first-class road I/48 between Blahutovice and Palačov villages will be removed from the list.

As of 1 September, a couple of technical changes in the current charged road network will be made as well. Due to crossroads constructions, selected toll sections of first-class roads I/38 and I/43 will be split. Further changes in toll section lengths, cancellations of some or new definitions of others within the first-class road network, required by changed positions of road signs marking municipality beginnings and ends, will be performed.

When all these changes are completed, the total length of the road network where electronic toll will be charged will extend to 2918 kilometres – 1569 kilometres of which are represented by motorway routes.
