PRESS RELEASE      30. 04. 2020

Extended maturities for toll payment can be used by carriers for 208 thousand vehicles

Prague, 30 April 2020 – Following the decision of the Government of the Czech Republic of 30 March 2020, carriers who have been negatively affected by measures related to COVID-19 and pay tolls in the Postpay mode may benefit from deferred due dates of toll invoices. The invoice due date is extended to 90 days from the end of a billing period.

Carriers who have registered over 208,000 vehicles in the system will benefit from the concession in the form of extended maturity of toll invoices. Approximately 5.5 thousand vehicles are registered in the Postpay mode with a bank guarantee, while the remaining almost 203 thousand vehicles are registered through a fuel card issuer.

Detailed conditions were published by CzechToll on the official website of the electronic toll system www.mytocz.eu together with amended General Contractual Terms and Conditions, which reflect extraordinary concessions for carriers.

1) Concession for carriers registered in the Postpay mode with a bank guarantee

  • The due date of invoices was automatically set to 90 days from the end of a relevant billing period for all users and for all transactions made between 1 April 2020 and 31 July 2020. The first invoices issued on 16 April 2020 for transactions in the period from 1 April 2020 to 15 April 2020 were already issued with the extended maturity of 90 days.

2) Concession for carriers registered in the Postpay mode using a fuel card for payment

For carriers registered through fuel card issuers, invoices from the system operator are only informative. They pay tolls on the basis of invoices (payment orders) from their fuel card issuer. According to the technical and operational capabilities of individual fuel card issuers, the 90-day maturity of invoices for tolls was negotiated under the following conditions:

  • The following fuel card issuers will provide 90-day maturity of invoices for tolls in the period from 1 April to 31 July 2020:

UNIPETROL RPA, s.r.o. – BENZINA, branch plant

CCS Česká společnost pro platební karty s.r.o.

Diners Club CS, s.r.o.

DKV EURO SERVICE GmbH + Co. KG

LogPay Transport Services GmbH

MOL Česká republika, s.r.o.

PaySystem, s.r.o.

Plose Sistem Service S.p.A.

W.A.G. Issuing Services, a.s.

  • The following fuel card issuers will provide 90-day maturity of invoices for tolls in the period from 1 May  to 31 July 2020:

OMV Česká republika, s.r.o.

AS 24 ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA S.R.O.

The maturity of 90 days only applies to tolls, not to the payment of the refundable deposit for the on-board unit. Due to technical and operational reasons, the 90-day invoice maturity of five fuel card issuers could not be set (Trafineo GmbH & Co. KG, MS EUROPE B.V., UNION TANK Eckstein GmbH& Co. KG, Shell Czech Republic, a.s. and E100 International Trade sp. z o.o. ).
