Prague, March 24, 2026 – Toll collection in the Electronic Toll System reached 1.59 billion crowns in February. The year-on-year growth exceeded 5 percent with the same number of working days. In February, CzechToll processed more than 92 million toll transactions, which equals to a 0.25 percent year-on-year increase.
In February, CzechToll recorded an increase in toll collection, especially from foreign carriers. Toll collection for the use of highways by vehicles with foreign license plates increased by 6 percent compared to January and carriers paid 8 percent more month-on-month for the use of Class I roads. The toll collected from Czech vehicles only increased by 2 percent for the use of motorways and 4 percent for Class I roads in the same period.
“In February, foreign vehicle operators accounted for 55 percent of the total toll collected and paid more than 870 million Czech crowns in the total revenues. As at the end of February, CzechToll issued almost 432 thousand on-board units to foreign vehicles,” said Petr Chvátal, Director General of CzechToll.
At the end of February, altogether 863 thousand vehicles with a maximum permitted weight exceeding 3.5 tons were registered in the electronic toll system.
