In August carriers paid 1.47 billion crowns in tolls

Prague, 19 September 2025 – Operators of vehicles with a maximum permissible laden mass of over 3.5 tons paid a total of 1.47 billion crowns in August for driving on motorways and toll sections of 1^st category roads. Year-on-year, the toll collection increased by almost 7 percent despite August having one working day less compared to 2024. Since the beginning of the year, it has exceeded CZK 12.66 billion.

In the course of toll collection, CzechToll processed 91 million toll transactions in August, 2 percent fewer than in the same month last year. In August, 294 thousand unique vehicles appeared on our domestic roads and were charged tolls within the electronic toll system.

As at the end of August, 915 thousand vehicles weighing over 3.5 tons were registered in the electronic toll system, of which over 730 thousand vehicles had foreign license plate numbers. For the registered vehicles, CzechToll issued 670 thousand on-board units to carriers.
