In July carriers paid 1.67 billion Czech crowns in tolls, 53% of revenue comes from foreign carriers

In July, carriers paid a total of 1.67 billion crowns for driving on toll motorways and 1^st category roads, 13.7% more year-on-year. The double-digit growth has been generated not only as a result of one extra working day compared to July 2024, but also through an expansion of the motorway network in the Czech Republic. Thanks to the structure and the level of toll rates, the fee for using motorways has in the long run been approaching 90 percent of the total toll collection.

CzechToll processed more than 102.5 million toll transactions in July. Year-on-year growth reached almost 5 percent.

As at the end of July 913 thousand vehicles weighing over 3.5 tons were registered in the electronic toll system, of which over 728 thousand vehicles had foreign license plate numbers. For the registered vehicles, CzechToll issued 668 thousand on-board units to carriers.
