PRESS RELEASE      31. 08. 2025

Starting from 1 September 2025 toll collection will be launched on Lišov bypass

Prague, 31 August 2025 – In accordance with the instruction by the Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic, CzechToll will launch electronic toll collection on new sections of D6 motorway and I/34 road.

From 1 September 2025, toll collection will begin on the newly commissioned Lišov bypass (road I/34, section Lišov – Vranín, length 9.51 km). At the same time, toll collection will be discontinued on the original sections of I/34 stretching over 5 km. Before the bypass commissioning, up to 31 thousand lorries were passing along I/34 road in front of Lišov every month in the first half of this year.

From 1 October 2025, other new sections of D6 motorway will be included in the electronic toll system – Hořovičky bypass (5.2 km) and the relocation near the municipality of Hořesedly (9.2 km).

“Satellite technology allows us to quickly and flexibly implement toll collection on new roads without significant investment costs. Lorries thus begin contributing to repairs and maintenance without unnecessary delay from the moment the road is commissioned. “From the perspective of using freight transport infrastructure, this is a fair and long-term sustainable solution,” said Petr Chvátal, CzechToll CEO.

The roads the use of which by vehicles over 3.5 tons is subject to toll payment are stipulated by Decree No. 470/2012 Coll. on the use of roads subject to toll payment as amended. Following the launch of new toll sections from 1 October 2025, electronic toll collection will be active on 1,545 kilometres of motorways and 1,370.5 kilometres of 1st category roads.
